Back at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, BlackBerry revealed that its next Porsche Design was the “Keian” (BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 shown below). BerryReview reports that the Keian is actually the BlackBerry Oslo we’ve been hearing about as of late.
According to BerryReview, @fubaz has told them that the BlackBerry ‘Keian’ is actually the BlackBerry Oslo.
The BlackBerry Oslo has been leaked in recent photos, and, according to the site, it “does bear quite a bit of resemblance to the first 3 generations of Porsche Design-BlackBerry devices.” The most striking is the use of “silver-metal,” which has been used on previous Porsche Design handsets such as the P’9981, the P’9982, and the more recent P’9983. Additionally, the curved edges resemble Porsche Design smartphones.
As for pricing, the site says the Keian will probably cost around $1,000 to $2,000 (around £628 to £1,257), which is around the same price as previous Porsche Design handsets. However, instead of just 32 GB of internal storage, the upcoming device is said to “probably” come with 64 GB of internal storage.
BerryReview also checked with an “internal source,” and reveals that the Keian is indeed the Oslo.
Speaking about the recently leaked photos of the Oslo and why it didn’t show the Porsche Design logo, BerryReview says that the photos may be showing a prototype.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt.
