We’ve been hearing a lot about the once rumoured BlackBerry Priv (known in the past as the BlackBerry Venice) in the past few months, and now the device has been officially confirmed by the Canadian phone maker. BlackBerry, however, is yet to reveal when it plans to launch the Android-powered high-end slider. The smartphone’s accessories have just been spotted online, suggesting that the device will be launched soon.

The screenshot seen above shows a listing from Canadian wholesaler DirectDial. The listing includes model numbers, colour options, and descriptions for the accessories. It also includes prices. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show images of the accessories.
The accessories include: Blackberry Priv Leather Holster (ACC-62174-001), Blackberry Priv Leather Pocket Black (ACC-62172-001), Blackberry Priv Leather Pocket Tan (ACC-62172-002), Blackberry Priv Slide-Out Hard Shell Lagoon Blue (ACC-62170-002), Blackberry Priv Slide-Out Hard Shell, Military Green (ACC-62170-003), Blackberry Priv Slide-Out Hard Shell Black (ACC-62170-001), BlackBerry Priv Leather Holster (ACC-62174-001), BlackBerry Priv Sync Pod W/1.2m USB Cable (ACC-62175-001), and BlackBerry Priv Sync Pod Nest (ACC-62178-001).
Although BlackBerry has confirmed the existence of the Priv, it is yet to confirm what the device has to offer under the hood or what features the device comes with pre-installed. Thankfully, past leaks have revealed what the device has to offer. According to past leaks, the Priv will sport a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). The screen will be curved just like the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Like BlackBerry handsets of old, it will feature a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard. Its camera combo consists of an 18-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS and 4K video recording capabilities and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. Under the hood is expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It is expected to run Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerry 10 slapped on top, working as a custom UI.
BlackBerry said that the Priv will be sold in stores towards the end of 2015, but failed to mention the exact date it plans to launch the device. Serial leakster Evan Blass (known on Twitter as @evleaks), however, said in a past tweet that the Priv will be sold in stores in the US in November. We still don’t know if the smartphone will be sold in the UK, but we’re guessing it will land on our shores at around the same time it lands in the US launch or shortly after.
